A Visitor Comment

Museum of the Order of St John

Visitor comment: Had a great time but would have liked descriptions in your upper rooms with regard to the paintings and the rooms themselves. We joined the tour very late so we were rushed through the rooms at top speed and nothing was explained to us!

Our response: I am afraid that we do not provide interpretation panels for the collection pieces that are housed in our historical rooms, purely due to the fact that these rooms are only accessible to the public during guided tours. Our tour guides will provide historical information pertaining to the rooms and the collection pieces during the tour. However, our Chapter Hall, Council Chamber and Old Chancery do have interpretation panels on lecterns which are located at the entrance of each individual room.

Do feel free to join another guided tour so that you are able to enjoy the full experience. Our tours are held on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11.00am and again at 2.30pm on those days. We are currently holding additional tours on Sundays until the end of September, and these take place at 2.00pm.

If you are planning on joining one of our tours in the future then please keep an eye on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages, as there has been the odd occasion when tours have had to be cancelled, due to unforeseen circumstances.
