St John marching bands are a part of the charity’s heritage and ceremony. When Cadet badges were introduced in 1928, they included one awarded for playing in a band. We know very little about the life of this particular drum. It is marked as having belonged to Hornshill Cadet Division, but this name clearly replaces another.
