MUSO: Discovering Museums through Music

Museum of the Order of St John

Back by popular demand, Impropera the world’s first improvising opera company, will create an entirely new opera inspired by the history of St John’s Gate. Witness an original performance that has never been seen before, and will never be seen again! Inspired by the surroundings and hidden stories in the Museum of the Order of St John. What could possibly go wrong?!

Doors open 18:30, with an opportunity to explore the Museum’s galleries before the show starts at 19:00.

Local historic tavern, The Sekforde, will be running a bar.

The performance takes place in the historic Chapter Hall at St John’s Gate, accessible by stairs only. There is a lift which reduces the number of stairs guests need to ascend. You can find all the access information for our venue here. For assistance planning your visit please email museum@sja.org.uk, or call us on 020 7324 4005 (lines monitored Wednesday-Saturday 10am – 5pm).
