An evening lecture in partnership with the St John Historical Society.
This talk will explore the founding and development of Hato Hone St John (St John New Zealand). Drawing on the Priory’s extensive archive, it will frame the development of services in St John’s tradition of responding to local need and building resilient communities.
The organisation’s archive is a vital way of preserving and sharing the rich and fascinating history of Hato Hone St John. Todd will share the innovative approach taken to develop heritage operations and archive facilities in the Priory in New Zealand, and efforts to enhance the heritage and Order community in New Zealand.
Todd Skilton ED JP CStJ has been the Priory Librarian for Hato Hone St John since 2019, and since 2020 the International Librarian for the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. In both roles Todd champions the rich heritage of St John. Todd is an information/cyber security professional and is currently employed by a Crown entity as their Head of Information and Digital.
