From 11am to 12.30pm enjoy a delicious Maltese coffee, a dainty pastry and the chance to learn more about the fascinating stories behind the Museum’s exquisite portrait medals.
From 12.30pm Collections Volunteer James Drabble will explore the Order’s almost 250 hundred year stay in Malta through the portrait medals struck to commemorate a succession of Grand Masters and the important events they presided over. The talk will focus on fascinating examples selected from the Museum’s extensive collection. Following the talk, James will be on hand to answer questions, and speak with visitors as they have the chance to explore and handle these pieces of history first hand.
