Shakespeare wrote for all of society and PIVA will be reflecting this by performing music which runs the gamut from village green to stately court, all in the unique surrounding of our medieval crypt. Watch them bring the period alive with stories and tales about life in Shakespeare’s theatre, all on a site which once housed the offices of the Elizabethan Master of the Revels.
Since forming in 2002, PIVA – The Renaissance Collective have firmly established themselves as one of the UK’s leading early music ensembles. PIVA specialises in popular dance and ballad music of the late 16th century, giving it their own fresh and innovative approach.
Doors open 18:30 and local historic tavern, The Sekforde, will be running a bar.
