From the original hospital in Jerusalem to the Phelophepa Train that tours rural areas of South Africa, the Order of St John has been reaching out and tending to those of all communities, regardless of colour, creed, culture or ability to pay. Dr George Woods, former CEO of St John South Africa, will take us on an insightful and colourful rendition of the history of the work of the Order of St John in South Africa.

Dr George Woods is at present the Chief Business Officer of St John Ambulance in England. He is a C-suite Business Leader, University Lecturer, Digital Transformation Strategist and a humanitarian. His Doctorate focused on post-pandemic recovery models and building sustainability.
