The role of voluntary nurses during the First World War was vital. To commemorate International Nurse’s Day, this talk by Collections Inventory Assistant, Immie Meade, will examine the important work of St John Ambulance voluntary nurses, and will explore the roles specific nurses played through looking at some of the documentary and material evidence the museum has from their experiences.
This is a free event. Drop-ins are welcome, or you can pre-register through Eventbrite. The event will take place in the Museum Galleries which are on ground level with step-free access throughout.
