My Lord,

I have the honour to report that I took

over the Command of the Hospital from Colonel Sir

James R.A. Clark, Bt., C.B., C.M.G, on the 14th. July.

On the 15th. we received a convoy of ninety

five wounded, the condition of these men was certainly

exceedingly bad, they came down directly from the fight-

ing line and their wounds were of the most serious nature.

This has kept the Surgical Division of the hospital busy.
