Poison and potion bottles: an autism-friendly family activity

Museum of the Order of St John

**This event is now fully booked. This session is a trial and we hope to run more in the future.**

For the first time ever, we are putting on a family activity session especially for autistic children and their families.

Inspired by the medicinal herbs growing in our garden, decorate your own pharmacy jar and hear stories of the natural world.

The craft activity will be running between 12:30 and 3:30pm and storytelling will begin at 1:30pm.

A dedicated sensory quiet room will also be available for children needing a quieter and calmer space.

In order to ensure that we can provide as calm and a quiet a space as possible for this activity, there are a limited number of spaces available and spaces must be booked in advance. All those who sign up will be sent a visual story via email.

This activity is totally free, but places must be booked in advance and, as it is a trial, we will be asking for feedback from participating families.

Here is a visual story about the activity to let you know what to expect on the day. And here is a visual story about visiting the Museum galleries, in case you would also like to do that.
