The Museum of the Order of St John holds a rare advantage in the London events market: a nine hundred year old priory gatehouse that most guests will never have set foot in, and many will not even know exists. Behind our unassuming Clerkenwell facade sit some of the capital’s most atmospheric indoor and outdoor spaces, offering real scope for events that step outside the conventional format.
Our four principal spaces – the medieval Chapter Hall, the wood panelled Council Chamber, the tranquil Cloister Garden and the historic Priory Church – can be booked individually or in combination, giving planners the freedom to design something genuinely their own.
Every event held here also supports our work as a charity and a working museum. We take our responsibilities to the environment and to fair, ethical working practices seriously, and see our events programme as a lasting contribution to the preservation and legacy of this remarkable site.
